Frequently asked questions.

What will our first session look like?

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to share what’s bringing you to therapy. We’ll explore your goals, talk about what’s most important to you, and start building a foundation of trust and safety. From there, we’ll begin shaping a path forward—often starting with simple, practical tools to help you feel more grounded, like mindfulness or nervous system regulation strategies. Together, we’ll explore what’s showing up for you through open conversation and curiosity, moving at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive—there’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready.

How long are sessions and what is the cost?

Sessions are 50 minutes in length and are offered at $200 per session for adult individuals. A detailed receipt will be provided after each session for insurance reimbursement, if applicable.

Will my personal insurance cover our session?

Psychotherapy services are often covered under extended health benefits. We encourage you to check with your provider to confirm if your plan covers services with a “Registered Psychotherapist”(RP). A detailed receipt will be provided after each session to support any insurance claims.

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

Yes. We offer both in-person sessions at our Centretown Ottawa location and virtual sessions through a secure online platform. You’re welcome to choose the option that feels best for you. And yes, you can switch between the two!
